As a Cutting Machine Operator, you are the person who keeps our operations running! In production, you’ll ensure that our lathes and milling machines manufacture precision parts.
You’ll work with your hands to set up the machines for the respective product. Then you’ll write a program that tells the machine exactly what to do.
Once that’s done, production of the parts can begin. Some machines produce up to 1 million parts per year!
During production, you’ll continuously monitor the quality of the parts. This might even require measuring with an accuracy of a thousandth of a millimeter. For that, you’ll be working with state-of-the-art, high-tech equipment.
Our gears and worms are used by our customers in automotive technology, medical technology, and mechanical engineering, for example, in Teslas, surgical instruments, e-bikes, and drones.
Summary:
- Training Start: Annually in Fall
- Duration: 3.5 years with the option of shortening the training period
