The Christ & Heiri Group

The production sites of the Christ & Heiri Group are located at three sites worldwide: in Selzach (Switzerland), Löffingen (Germany) and Monterrey (Mexico). A crucial milestone of this global positioning was the acquisition and integration of the traditional Grieshaber Feinmechanik GmbH & Co. KG (Löffingen site, Baden-Württemberg) into the group in 2017. Grieshaber has since been an integral part of Christ & Heiri. The reason for this strategic merger was the perfect technological complement: we thereby bundle the Swiss core competence of Christ & Heiri AG in high-precision micro-gearing with the German expertise of Grieshaber for highly automated large-scale production and advanced turning technology. We cover the entire performance spectrum, from complex prototypes and small series to automated large-scale production with several million parts.

The corporate group employs around 130 highly qualified specialists worldwide. Of these, 30 employees work at the Swiss headquarters in Selzach, 90 employees at the large German production site in Löffingen (Grieshaber Feinmechanik) and 11 employees at our plant in Monterrey, Mexico. We attach the utmost importance to the continuous further training of our team. Through the combination of decades of artisanal know-how in micromechanics and the use of state-of-the-art CNC and robotics technology, our employees ensure the constant top quality for which the name Christ & Heiri stands. The low staff turnover in our workforce also guarantees the highest level of process stability and empirical knowledge.

As a traditional, privately managed company, we do not publish detailed, broken-down sales figures. We can, however, state: through our continuous, organic growth and the strategic acquisitions and expansions of the sites (Löffingen, Monterrey), we possess an extremely solid financial basis. This strength enables us to continuously invest in our modern machinery (high CAPEX rates) and qualifies us as a long-term, crisis-proof partner for international major customers and OEM manufacturers. We work with industry-standard B2B payment terms, which we agree upon individually, transparently and in partnership with our customers at the start of a project, in order to create an optimal economic basis for both sides.

In contrast to purely local niche manufacturers or large, inflexible corporations, we combine the world-famous Swiss micro-gearing precision (from an extremely fine module of 0.02) with the economic scalability and logistics power of an international group.

The Christ & Heiri headquarters in Selzach produces in a climate-neutral manner and is certified according to the strict standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 (environmental management), IATF 16949 (automotive) and ISO 13485 (medical technology). The German site in Löffingen (Grieshaber Feinmechanik) meets the identical high quality standards according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. This plant also produces in a climate-neutral manner and holds a renowned EcoVadis top rating for outstanding sustainability. The plant in Monterrey, Mexico, produces at the same quality level and operates as an independent site certified according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
