CHRIST & HEIRI TAKES OVER GRIESHABER FEINMECHANIK
8. agosto 2017
As part of a succession solution, the Swiss gear specialist Christ & Heiri AG ("Christ & Heiri") is taking over Grieshaber Feinmechanik GmbH & Co KG ("Grieshaber Feinmechanik"). The previous co-owner and managing director Michael Grieshaber will continue to be available to the company as a consultant.
Grieshaber Feinmechanik is a traditional Black Forest company with a history of over 130 years. From its modern production facilities in the Black Forest and Mexico, the company serves customers from all over the world and from numerous industries. Grieshaber Feinmechanik covers the entire value chain under one roof, from turning and gear cutting to the production and assembly of subassemblies, in compliance with the strictest process requirements (ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949:2016).
Together, the two companies form the Christ & Heiri Group ("Group"). Together, they want to respond even better to customer requirements, continue on their growth path and strengthen the global market position of the two companies. All three production sites in Selzach (Switzerland), Eisenbach (Germany) and in Apodaca (Mexico) will remain, with plans to relocate the current site in Eisenbach to Löffingen in the medium term.
In connection with the merger of the two companies and the succession of Mr Grieshaber, the management of the company will be reorganised. Olivier Brunner and
Thomas Seeler will in future be jointly responsible for the operational management of the Christ & Heiri Group. Olivier Brunner will remain Managing Director of Christ & Heiri AG and will become the new Technical Director of the Christ & Heiri Group. Thomas Seeler will become Managing Director of Grieshaber Feinmechanik and will be responsible for the commercial management of the group. Thomas Seeler has many years of successful experience as CFO and managing director in
manufacturing companies and will optimally complement the existing management team.
Michael Grieshaber, consultant and former co-owner and managing director of Grieshaber Feinmechanik: "In Christ & Heiri we have found an ideal partner who has a great deal of expertise and innovative strength. This will enable us to create an attractive and globally leading gear cutting company, from which both our customers and our employees will benefit."
Thomas Seeler, Managing Director of Grieshaber and Commercial Director of the Christ & Heiri Group: "The merger of the two successful and profitable companies will create a renowned, globally active gear specialist that can cover the entire value chain and efficiently produce both large and small series."
Olivier Brunner, Managing Director of Christ & Heiri and Technical Director of the Christ & Heiri Group: "The technical competence and the high vertical range of manufacture of Grieshaber Feinmechanik in combination with the process and production know-how of Christ & Heiri form the prerequisite for being able to
meet the growing requirements and needs of the customers".
