After intensive work, the IATF 16949 certification has also been successfully completed at our site in Monterrey! This means that all Christ & Heiri Group locations in Switzerland, Germany and Mexico are now certified according to IATF 16949.

Special thanks go to our on-site quality manager, Benny Johne, who accompanied the audit with great commitment and the support of the entire team.

After the successful certification according to ISO 9001 in 2020, this is another important step in the Christ & Heiri Group’s pursuit of the highest quality and delivery reliability.

Since 2015, the Christ & Heiri Group has been present with a production facility in Monterrey, Mexico, from where it supplies local customers, primarily from the automotive sector. While the site in Mexico initially existed in cooperation and under the umbrella of a local partner, an independent company was founded in 2021 under the name CHRIST & HEIRI MEXICO S. de R.L. de C.V..

As part of this new foundation, the production area was also significantly expanded, which fortunately could be realised at the existing location. Our Team-Mexico is therefore optimally equipped for new projects!

Brose Fahrzeugteile SE & Co. KG is an automotive supplier. The family-owned company is based in Coburg. The Brose Group develops and produces mechatronic components and systems for vehicle doors, seats and bodywork at 70 locations in 25 countries worldwide.

Christ & Heiri is proud of this award and would like to take this opportunity to thank all employees who have contributed significantly to this success. This award serves as an additional incentive to continue supplying Brose with gearing parts of the highest quality and to continue the long-standing and cooperative relationship.

After the successful certification according to ISO 9001 in 2020, the repeat audit was also mastered this week. Reasons enough to celebrate the successful start into independence on a small scale. CEO Thomas Seeler and Sales Manager Ulrich Martin travelled from Germany to welcome customers and interested parties for a tour of the production facility and to discuss possible future projects.

Together with employees and visitors, they toasted the success of the company with Mexican tacos at the food truck.

For the first time, the training is taking place in cooperation with WST, a specialist for precision turned parts also located in Löffingen. The training alliance between the two companies enables Grieshaber Feinmechanik trainees to complete their basic training and preparation for the examination in the WST training workshop. Assignments in production then take place at Grieshaber Feinmechanik.

At the start of the training, a basic course is planned in which each trainee will independently produce various practice pieces. Here, above all, basic manual skills such as filing, sawing and drilling will be taught. Then they will learn how to use various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. Finally, it’s off to production at Grieshaber Feinmechanik, where what has been learned is put into practice.

These machines are particularly suitable for chasing brass screws. But also turning blanks made of free-cutting steel can be machined here and then toothed on a gear cutting machine.

In addition, new specialists have been hired to operate the machines, who enrich our team with their experience. They are now additionally supported by a collaborative robot which takes care of the monotonous work of palletizing the produced parts.

For the end of the year the purchase of 3 more identical machines is planned, which will fill the production hall at Grieshaber and set a small exclamation mark in times of the Corona crisis. It goes on!
